Tropical and Topical
The tropical paradise, holiday destination of Bali became home for 19 delegates who attended Snowden's Resource Estimation Professional Development course from 21-24 July.
We recently ran our Resource Estimation course in the best location yet… Bali. Paul Blackney, (Divisional Manager Resources, Training and Mentoring) presented the course with the assistance of Adam Miethke (Senior Resource Geologist). Delegates came from Indonesia, the Philippines, South Africa and Australia to attend the training. Off to an early start on the Monday, all were keen to get going at 8am (a first!). Delegates were presented with a fabulous selection of local foods in the breaks… not to mention the stunning ocean views from the restaurant. At the conclusion of the training each day, most delegates hit the ground running to fit in as much sight seeing and shopping as possible - especially the trio from Johannesburg, who had boundless energy and didn't leave much time for sleep! With each day spent learning and working hard on activities, the evenings were the time for relaxation for course delegates and the Snowden team. The positive atmosphere of the event helped to develop a good rapport between all. A selection of the many photos taken throughout the trip reflect the camaraderie of the event, these are available for you to view...
A big thank you to the presenters and delegates for making it such an enjoyable and successful course.
